Endorsement

Business / Real Estate / Endorsement: A method of transferring title to a negotiable instrument, such as a check or promissory note, by signing the owners name on the reverse side of such instrument. A blank endorsement guarantees payment to subsequent holders. An endorsement that states that it is without recourse does not guarantee payment to subsequent holders.
