Technology / Programming / Short: A short is a datatype that represent a small int, using 2 bytes instead of 4 like a c++ or java int. Shorts are useful for calculations that need to be extremely fast where you know that your data value will never exceed the range of two bytes. Short is signed by default, but can also be declared as unsigned.
