Simulcasts

Technology / Television (TV) / Simulcasts: Programs, particularly in the late 1940s and early 1950s, which are simultaneously broadcast on both radio and television. The process was revived in the 1960s and 1970s in order to transmit stereo sound on FM radio that would accompany television visuals (of, for example, a music concert).
